I saw preamble as a 2 yo on a breeders farm in Mooi River . I wanted him but was traveling overseas that week. I left Carla in charge of concluding the deal . When I returned I was told he had been sold !- minor tantrum !!! I tried to find him but no luck !
3 months later for my birthday Carla took me on a call to the vet hospital and there he was . She had done the deal . But hidden him. He had to have on OCD surgery done to his hock.
I produced him to 1,40m and came second in complete horse on him at derby. Sissi I bought overseas as a 2yo and produced to 1,50m.
Carla did and embryo flush and hence Foresyte Prism . I had both sissi and Preamble inspected by SA Warmblood society . Sissi approved but not premium . Preamble we disclosed the OCD surgery and showed them 4 foals one - of which was prism one was Permelia ( an embryo we gave to Zdenek Muchna for his 21st) permelia has been placed in the Burlington Cup with Kirsty .
Preamble was not licensed and was advised to not breed with him. After a second inspection debacle with others I chose not to renew my membership. I am pleased to have a half sister to Prism who is by a son of Diamant de Semilly and possibly more cheeky than him. Breeding is a real journey of blood sweat and tears . Breeding a winner makes it a lot more fun!
