“On Tuesday I had the incredible opportunity of making the Top 8 for the Tri-Nations Cup. Coming into the event all 8 riders were required to bring one of their own horses that had experience in the 1.30m and or higher.
Each rider had to pick out a number that would be the number that their own horse would be ridden at. The number I picked was 3. After picking our horse’s numbers we were required to pick out two numbers that would then be the horses that we would ride over a course of 8 fences including 1 combination. I picked out numbers 6 and 5. 6 was @jason_slade_ horse Data Sciences Jerba Van Den Bisschop and 5 was @victoriag_equestrian_ horse Sunny Park Classic Queen. When warming up the horses that we had drawn, we were only allowed 3 minutes with 5 jumps, and only one person was allowed in the warm-up at a time.
Both horses that I rode were super and jumped the course incredibly well. I am super grateful to be a part of such a great team and for the incredible opportunity that I have been given to represent South Africa in the Tri-Nations Cup and cannot wait to compete alongside my teammates in the first competition at the 334 Sport Horse Stud FEI WCQ
Thank you to everyone who has helped play a huge role in getting me to where I am today and to my incredible horses, that without them none of this would be possible ”
